This year, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition's award-winning Open Streets initiative Atlanta Streets Alive activated 11.1 miles and drew up to 134,000 people at a time to reclaim Atlanta's streets as public space. The growing success of Atlanta Streets Alive is due, in large part, to support from community members like you. Thank you!

A core component of Open Streets is that they are accessible to all. That is why each Atlanta Streets Alive is free and open to everyone — no matter age, ability, or neighborhood. Of course, opening miles of Atlanta's streets in this way is no small task. Your support is vital. It allows us to create this experience for more Atlantans each year.

We're thrilled to announce that the 2019 Atlanta Streets Alive program will activate three routes. Get excited about a return to iconic Peachtree Street, a debut of a Cross-City route that will stretch from west to east -- almost nine miles across Atlanta, and a community-driven route in Southwest Atlanta.

Safe, complete, and inclusive streets call for community involvement. That’s why we are asking the community members of Southwest Atlanta to help us select a route for a September 29 Atlanta Streets Alive.

The route selection process starts now! Are you a resident of Southwest Atlanta? We want your participation. Here’s how you can make a pitch for an Atlanta Streets Alive - Southwest that will have the best impact for your community:
