More than 120,000 of you joined us last Sunday to reclaim and reimagine Atlanta's iconic Peachtree Street as public space! From Midtown to South Downtown, the street was filled with people -- of all ages -- experiencing one of our most familiar city streets in a more connected, community-focused way. We love how Monday's SaportaReport article explains the mission and context of Atlanta Streets Alive as well as Atlanta City Studio's shared street concept for three blocks of Peachtree Street.

The purpose of this Atlanta Bicycle Coalition initiative is to start conversations and bring about change. With Atlanta Streets Alive, we're shifting how we all view our city streets by transforming them into a place where people come first.
Atlanta Streets Alive is more than a FREE and FUN one-day experience; it’s an everyday endeavor. This might seem like a small distinction, but we believe it helps us lay the groundwork for bigger change.
In fact, participants often ask, "Why can't we have Atlanta Streets Alive every day?!" That is why we are asking YOU to support this initiative with a donation.
Will you help us reach our goal of 1,000 donors in 2019? Your contribution will not only demonstrate the growing demand for safer streets, but it will also increase our capacity to organize more open street activations -- and your donation of any amount will get you a one-year Atlanta Bicycle Coalition membership.
We're combining our Eastside and Westside routes into one slightly audacious and delightfully cohesive Atlanta Streets Alive Cross-City, activating Dekalb Ave and Decatur Street, all the way to Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road!
But, wait. There's even more in store for our June activation! Not to miss out on the fun and connectivity, the City of Decatur will launch its first open streets program by adding West Howard Avenue to the mix, bringing the newest addition to the Atlanta Streets Alive lineup to almost 10 miles!
